Against all odds - the truth eventually comes to light
Patient Zero established for COVID-19 Pandemic
A recent article provided additional insight into the origin of COVID-19 and (no surprise) it’s what we professionals knew all along - the lead researcher in Gain of Function at Wuhan Lab was the index case. People who know my business have been asking me over the last couple of years about prospects for answers and I’ve always stated the century old mantra on public health - the truth will always come out. It’s what Public Health is all about and its never easy. In some cases it takes a century to figure out all the subtle aspect of what actually happened to initiate an epidemic or pandemic and what to do to prevent it from happening again. With government officials and agencies (and mainstream press, and politicians) working overtime to quash the truth, I’m frankly surprised that it’s come to light as quickly as it has.
Anthony Fauci and Francis Collins I’ve known from my past and I respected them immensely, but now I know that they made some very poor decisions to fund “offshore” research that could not take place in the U.S. - thinking that it was in the public interest. However, they also had full knowledge that the Wuhan Lab was taking shortcuts on biosafety and conducting very hazardous research at containment levels and practices that were far below what is responsibly called for. They knew and did nothing about it except perhaps to send a few emails. The catastrophic results were almost predictable and that will be their legacy to otherwise stellar careers. The most troubling part for me is knowing that this will likely happen again, and again - unless some very nasty consequences are brought to bear for those who knowingly or unknowingly enabled this unmitigated disaster in funding and oversight of biohazardous research.
